It depends on the complexity of your current store, the volume of data, and how much redesign work is involved. A straightforward migration with a new theme typically takes 14 to 20 weeks. Larger stores with complex integrations and significant data volumes can run longer. We give you a detailed timeline once we have audited your current setup.
Not if it is done properly. We audit your entire URL structure before we start, map every page to its new destination, implement 301 redirects, migrate all meta data and run a full post-launch crawl. We have replatformed stores with years of organic traffic without ranking drops. Losing SEO on a replatform is avoidable with the right process.
Not necessarily. Some clients replatform and redesign simultaneously, others prefer to migrate first and then invest in a full redesign once they are settled on the new platform. We will advise which approach makes more sense based on your timeline, budget and the state of your current design.

We keep the old platform available in a staging or archived state until you are confident the new store is running correctly. We do not recommend switching off the old platform immediately after go-live. There is a sensible handover period where both exist and we monitor the new store closely.
