Golf gifting, made instant
Swyng is a UK golf gifting platform connecting customers with over 2,000 courses and driving ranges across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The brief was straightforward: make gifting a golf experience as simple and instant as possible. We built a headless Shopify storefront powered by Next.js, with automated voucher delivery at its core and a content hub designed to earn organic traffic long after launch.



Headless Shopify, frontend built in Next.js
Shopify powers the commerce engine behind Swyng, but the customer-facing storefront is built entirely in Next.js. Decoupling the frontend from Shopify's default theming gave us complete design freedom while keeping all the reliability of Shopify's checkout, payments and order management in place. The result is a site that loads fast, performs well in search and gives the team full flexibility over the customer journey without being constrained by a theme.


Automated voucher delivery, instant every time
When a customer buys a Swyng voucher, everything happens automatically. They pick a course, add a personalised message and the recipient gets their voucher by email the moment payment is confirmed, or at a scheduled time of their choosing. We built the full voucher generation and delivery pipeline, with 12-month validity, flexible course selection and seamless personalisation handled end-to-end without any manual intervention.


The Clubhouse: tools, guides and a full golf glossary
The Clubhouse is Swyng's content hub, packed with tools and resources for golfers of all levels. From a gift finder quiz that helps customers choose the right experience to a comprehensive golf glossary covering everything from handicaps to the Ryder Cup, it gives visitors good reason to return and helps Swyng earn organic traffic across a wide range of golf-related search terms.
